CEX (Centralized Exchange)

A cryptocurrency exchange run by a company that acts as a middleman between buyers and sellers. CEXs like Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken are easy to use but require you to trust the company with your funds. They typically offer more features and faster trades than DEXs.

Example

Most beginners start by buying their first crypto on a CEX like Coinbase.
