Slippage

The difference between the expected price of a trade and the actual price you get. Slippage occurs when there is not enough liquidity or when prices move between the time you submit a trade and when it executes. High slippage means you got a worse deal than expected.

Example

She set her slippage tolerance to 0.5% to avoid paying too much on her swap.
